Susan Simpkins

Susan Marie Simpkins, 58, of Rockford passed away on Sunday October 9, 2011 in her home, surrounded by her family.nbsp; She was born July 28, 1953 in Glendale, CA, the daughter of Robert and Marilyn Hennessy.nbsp; She worked for Swedish American Hospital for 17 years as a Medical Coding Specialist.nbsp; She was a volunteer for CASA with her daughter for many years.nbsp; She also loved to go with her friends to Canine Corners, in Searles Park where she brought her dogs, Ashanti and Zoei.nbsp; Susan also loved to read and travel with her family.nbsp; Graduate of Rock Valley College. Mom, you are my greatest gift.

Survivors include her daughter, Jessica Simpkins of Rockford, mother, Marilyn Peg Hennessy Callihan of Rockford, sister, Nancy Rodriguez of Burbank, CA.nbsp; Nephews, Dustin (Jennie) Rodriguez, Tanner (Sarah) Rodriguez.nbsp; Great neice, Madison and great nephew, Jake Rodriguez.nbsp; Brotherinlaw, Jim (Villia) Simpkins.nbsp; Nieces, Jennifer (David) Simpkins, Shannon Simpkins and Kelly Simpkins.nbsp; Stepsister, Pat (Mike) Hayes.nbsp; Step Brother, Michael (Annette) Callihan.nbsp; Special Cousins, Craig (Louise) Skolrood.nbsp; Predeceased by her father Robert Hennessy, brother Steven and stepfather Norman Callihan.
