Susan M. Shaw

Susan M. Shaw 45, of Rockford passed away Sunday Oct 6, 2013. She was born in Warren, Ohio January 4, 1968; the daughter of William Shaw, Sr. and Carol Shaw. Graduated from Boylan High School in 1986. Awarded Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Northern Illinois University in 1991.One of her proudest accomplishments is designing the Corporate Logo for the Rockford Airport in 1990 which is still being used today.

Survived by her siblings William Shaw, Jr., Mary Beth Shaw-Risner and Annette Severson. Brothers-in law Jerry Risner and Pete Severson. Susan was blessed with 8 nieces: Alex and Angie Shaw; Elise Shaw, Claire Shaw-Strominger; Erica, Kelcie, Jenna and Annika Severson. Two of her dear friends are Marge and Roy Cammaratta. The family would like to thank her friends and health care providers Linda Kyle and Dr. Garcia. She will be remembered by all who knew her as a caring, gentle spirit.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on October 12, 2013 in Holy Family Catholic Church, 4400 Highcrest Rd. Visitation from 9:30 am until the time of Mass.
