Stewart Raymond Erickson

Stewart Raymond Erickson, 55, Rockford, died Monday, April 6, 2009, in his home. He was born August 26, 1953, in Rockford, the son of Raymond and Marylin (Ross) Erickson. Stewart worked as an office furniture salesman for the majority of his life and was most recently working at Michaelson""s Office Furniture. He will be remembered for his love and passion for music and art. Stewart loved performing on stage with his brother, sister and friends in several bands throughout his life, such as Teenage Tarzan. He passed on his passion of music to his children by always playing music with them and for them. He enjoyed making people laugh and he was dearly loved by his family and friends. Stew will be deeply missed for his humor and fun spirit. Survived by his son, Calvin (Jennifer) Erickson, Peoria, AZ; daughter, Rachel (Shawn) Maxwell, grandchildren, Jackson and Ava, N. Aurora; brothers, Peter (Pat) Erickson and Ethan (Shelly) Erickson, both of Rockford; sisters, Zan (Dave) Picchioni, Loves Park and Nancy (John Dutmer) Erickson, Chetek, WI; mother, Marylin Erickson, Rice Lake, WI; many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 15, 2009, in Second Congregational United Church of Christ, 318 N. Church St. with Rev. Dr. J. Michael Solberg officiating. Visitation from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church. Cremation rites will follow. Arrangements by Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd.
