Steven Ryan

Steven Ryan, 53, Rockford, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, due to complications from pneumonia. Steven was born in Rockford on June 23, 1958, the son of Walter and Marianne Ryan. Steven had a passion for living in the south; he was employed on oil rigs and shrimp boats in Louisiana and Mississippi.nbsp; He enjoyed reading, was a true handyman and an avid outdoorsman; who especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be missed by his family and by all whose lives he touched.

Survived by his loving parents, Walter and Marianne; daughter, Samantha Ryan, of Waukegan; brother, Jonathan Ryan, of Rockford; sisters, Teresa Peters and Mary Jo Coleman, both of Rockford, and Jo Ellen Ryan, of Winnebago; nieces, Rachel Peters and Kira Ryan; nephews, Andrew Coleman and Halen Ryan; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by infant brother, Mark Ryan; maternal grandparents, Frank and Josephine Swierzynski; paternal grandparents; Walter and Edith Ryan Gerber.

Funeral Service will be at 10:30 a.m.nbsp; on Friday, April 13, 2012nbsp; at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the family.
