Steven L. Sutherland

Steven L. Sutherland, 47, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 4 after a long illness. Steven was a genuinely caring man with an enormous heart of gold. He befriended almost everyone he met and often came to the aid of strangers. Formerly of Lake George, NY, Steven was an avid sportsman and lover of nature. Survivors include his mother, Ellen Wollenberg, Rockford; brother, David of Schenectady, NY; sister Lisa, Rockford; two nephews and numerous friends. Preceded in death by his father, Jack. Steven will be missed and remembered by all. Memorial Service Sat., Dec. 8, 2007 at 1p.m.at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford. Visitation noon to 1p.m. in the funeral home.
