Steven "Bugs" Buelow

Steven William "Bugs" Buelow, 58, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2013. He was born February 2, 1955, in Rockford, the son of Herbert J. and Carol (Horsley) Buelow, Sr. He married Janice Fedie in Rockford on August 28, 1976. Steven worked for the Rock River Water Reclamation District for 28 years, retiring in 2011. He was an avid golfer but most of all Steven loved spending time with his family, especially playing with his grandchildren.
Survived by his loving wife, Janice; his sons, David A. (Danielle) and Joseph W. (Candi) Buelow, both of Rockford; his grandchildren, Madison Rae, Jackson William, Landon Joseph, Meadow Grace, and Lola Belle; his sisters, Marlys (Lorrie Metcalf) Buelow of Champaign and Denise (Donald) Burton of S. Beloit; his brother, Michael (Karen) Buelow of Rockford; many nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Jean Fedie of Rockford and father-in-law, Arnold (Gloria) Fedie of Fl. Predeceased by his parents and his brothers, Herbert John, Jr. and James Robert Buelow.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 pm, Thursday, December 12, 2013, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with the Reverend Dr. Loren Nielsen officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until the time of service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
