Stephen R. Smith

Stephen R. Smith, 83, passed away on February 24, 2021. Born in Dagus Mines, Pennsylvania on March 31, 1937 son to James and Margaret (Moshier) Smith. Stephen spent most of his life in Erie, PA until moving to the Rockford IL area, and spent the second part of his career at Gunite Corporation in Rockford, where he retired as the Personnel Director.
He will be missed by those who love him most, his wife of 63 years, Carol; his children Stephen (Darlene) Smith, Deborah Wilkes, Kathleen (Daniel) Janczak, and Marjorie Smith; his eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was predeceased in death by his parents, his two brothers Ralph and LeRoy, and son in law Larry Wilkes.
