Stella A. Pelton

Stella A. Pelton, 98, Rockford, died Sunday, May 10, 2009, in Alden Alma Nelson Manor. She was born November 16, 1910, in Kennedy, New York, the daughter of Fred and Ora (Borden) Arnold. Stella married Roscoe Pelton in August, 1961. She was employed at Elco Tool for many years. Stella was a member of First Assembly Church in Rockford. Survived by her nieces, Joann Schobey and Sandy Peterson, both of Kennedy, New York; her nephews, Bruce Dennison of Kennedy, New York, Larry Dennison of Crosby, Texas, and Duane ""Freddie"" Eddy of Anchor Point, Alaska; special friends, Ann Mischen and Michael Mischen IV. Predeceased by her husband, Roscoe; brother, Lloyd Arnold; sisters, Blanche Dominey, Mildred Arnold, Hazel Eddy and May Dennison; special friend, Norma Grimmett. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 14, 2009, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108 with Pastor Ray Corlew of Rockford First officiating. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park . Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
