Stanley Fornal

Stanley E. Fornal, 64, of Rockford passed away Tuesday November 8, 2016 in his home. He was born August 13, 1952 in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Stanislaus and Martha Fornal. He graduated from West High School, Class of 71 and served in the Air Force for 4 years. Married Georgina Gulotta on May 8, 1972 in Memphis, Tennessee. He worked at Ingersoll Cutting Tool for 30 years, followed by 2 years at Northrup Gruman. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed many fishing trips "up North" with friends. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Georgina (Gulotta) Fornal, daughter Amy Marie (Robert) Peterson, son Michael Fornal, and grandchildren Trent, Clara, and Tyler Peterson. Predeceased by parents and sister Christa. Special thanks to all the staff at Van Matre Rehabilitation Hospital, cousin Mary Henson, Phil & Fran Salvato, Terri Powers, brother-in-law Ben (Dionna) Gulotta, nephew Gabe Gulotta, and very special neighbors, David and Judy Frykholm.
Funeral Service at 10:30 am Monday November 14, 2016 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 1860 S. Mulford Road with Father William Wentink officiating.
