Souvath Sayavong

Souvath Sayavong, 33, of Rockford, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021. He was born December 22, 1987, in Laos, the son of Seny and Bouakham (Monmany) Sayavong. He attended Rock Valley College where he earned his associates degree. Souvath was a member of the Ratanaram Buddhist Temple. He worked as a chef at Panda Express.
Souvath is survived by his mother, Bouakham; brothers, Luexay (Kongkham) Sayavong, Phailin (Pamela Vongsouvanh) Sayavong, and Sangwan (Bouakham Inthavong) Sayavong; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is predeceased by his father, Seny.
Services for Souvath will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford. A visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Cremation will immediately follow the service on Tuesday.
