Sonya L. Garmager

Sonya L. Garmager, 80 of Rockford passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 in SwedishAmerican Hospital. Born February 4, 1928 in Rockford the daughter of Einer and Mabel (Carlson) Johnson. Sonya married Kristofer Garmager in Rockford on October 18, 1947. Sonya was a member of the Sons of Norway, Daughters of Valhall, Elmhurst Womens Club, WomenSpace and completed training as a Steven Minister in Rockford.   Sonya is survived by her husband, sons Kristofer (Linda) Garmager, Jr. and Timothy (Patty) Garmager. Grandchildren Matthew, Maja, Douglass (Katie), Emily, Britton, Travis and Tricia. Beloved Aunt of Charles Carter, Robert Carter, Larry Johnson and Susan Johnson. She is predeceased by her parents, brother Gerald Johnson, sister Marion Carter and brother Roy W. Johnson.   Funeral Service will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2008 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford with the Rev. Ernie Huntzinger officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 5-8 and Saturday from 1:30 until time of service in the funeral home. Interment to follow in Arlington Memorial Park. To
