Skylar J. Haury-Del Rio

Skylar Jace Haury-Del Rio, 13, of Rockford, IL passed away unexpectedly on August 5, 2021 at Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago, IL. He was born in Rockford, IL on October 2, 2007 to Daniel and Mersade Haury. Skylar went through so much in his life, beating every odd the doctors gave him when he was born. He was extremely proud of being self-sufficient, taking care of his trachea, and generally doing things he wasn’t predicted to be able to do. Skylar was very smart, had a phenomenal memory, and was always so happy and friendly. Often you would find him talking to anybody that would listen, and when he wasn’t talking he would be watching TikToks or cartoons. He spent a lot of time with his beloved family, hanging out with cousins, playing games, camping, enjoying each other’s company.

He will be dearly missed by his parents, Daniel and Mersade Haury; siblings, Hunter, Brandon, and Haileigh; grandpa, Robert Delrio and great-grandmother Diana; so many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and adored friends. He is predeceased in death by older sister Brianna; grandparents Pam Kieser, Barb and Danny Haury.

A visitation will take place for Skylar on Friday, August 13, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at 4:00 p.m. located at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, Illinois 61108. If unable to attend, the funeral service can be located on Zoom.us under Meeting ID: 823 7470 1132 with passcode: 1234.
