Shirley W. Keith, 94, of Rockford passed away May 2, 2018. Born in Galesburg, December 11, 1923 to Daniel L. and Edna M. (Todd) King. She married Billey E. Keith, from Chattanooga, TN, on November 12, 1942 in Rockford, where they lived and raised six children. Bill passed away September 8, 1981.
A WWII U.S. Army Veteran, Medical Corp, Shirley was a Life-time Member of YWCA, and the Salvation Army, Millenium Center; and a long-time dedicated volunteer for NIHA. She retired as a fulltime Quality Control Inspector at Elco Industries.
Survivors include her children, Ret. Sgt. Major Peter L. Keith, Patti (Dale) Bigger and James (Diane) Keith; grandchildren, Tammy Efird, Kelly McPhearson, Heather McPhearson, Heidi Bonilla, Valorie Corsolini, Amy Jacobson, Ashleigh Smith, Jaclynn Kincaide, Jacob Keith, James Bigger, Manny Bigger and Tina Bowen; 24 great-grandchildren and 13 great, great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; children, Darlene, Johnny, and Billie McPhearson; son-in-law, Ken McPhearson; daughters-in-law, Verna Keith and Paula Keith; brother, Robert Lindorff; and sister, Dorothy Brewer.

Funeral service 11a.m. Friday, May 11, 2018 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford. Major Karlene Lenz officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service at the Mulford Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Salvation Army and Northern Illinois Hospice.
