Shirley Speracino

Shirley M. Speracino, 79, of Winnebago, died Friday, February 17, 2017 at home surrounded by her husband, Phil; sons, Steve and Marty; daughter, Brie and son-in-law, Marc. Born June 28, 1937 in Rockford. Married Felix Speracino on October 13, 1954. Shirley enjoyed many jobs over the years. A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend she was to everyone she met and how much she will be missed by her family. She loved animals and flowers and being outside in the summer. She donated to many organizations for sick children and abused animals. The family would like to thank everyone at Northern Illinois Hospice and Grief Center especially Sue, Ken, Molly and many other employees.

Survivors include; husband, Felix; children, Steve (Linda) Speracino, Martin Speracino and Brie (Marcus) Kuster; daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Speracino; grandchildren, Philip, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Matthew, Daniel, Jordan, Megan, Brittany (Steve) Bair, Lauren (Alex) Brackett, Jennifer and Kayla; great-granddaughter, Audrey and numerous great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents, sister and son, Phil.

Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Avenue, Rockford, IL 61103. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northern Illinois Hospice and Grief Center.
