Shirley L. Faerber

Shirley L. Faerber, 93, of Rockford, IL passed away on November 30, 2022. She was born on June 27, 1929, in Oglesby, IL, the daughter of James and Elsie (Mormon) Scalarini.

Shirley married Richard L Faerber in 1951 in LaSalle, IL. After moving to Rockford, they became active members of Tabor Lutheran Church. Avid golfer, she had 2 hole- in-ones and participated in many city golf outings and tournaments. Shirley cherished the time spent at Lake Mills, boating, fishing and golfing. She was a retired Vice President of the Trust Department at Amcore Bank.

Shirley is survived by her husband of 71 years, Richard; son, Donald (Beverly) Faerber; daughter in law, Wilma Faerber; grandchildren, Adrienne (Sam) Burdick, Jessica (Anthony) Muse, Nicholas (Darla) Faerber and Sarah (Dan) Tempin and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Richard A. Faerber.

A Visitation for Shirley will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory – Mulford Chapel, 1860 S.
