Shirley K. Hutson

Shirley K. Hutson, died Thursday, May 28, 2009 in her home surrounded by her family. Born in Rockford, the daughter of Lloyd and Jane (Fraker) Weens. Graduate of Bishop Muldoon High School. Married her loving husband Ralph E. Hutson on January 30, 1975 in Loves Park. A member of St. Peter Cathedral and co-founder of the Re-married Ministry for the Diocese of Rockford. Shirley loved to dance and embroider. Survivors include her husband Ralph of Rockford; children, Victoria Pooley of FL, Gregory (Carol) Johnson of Machesney Park, Cory (Sherry) Powers of Rockford; step-children, Ralph (Frances) Hutson of MS, Dennis (Emily) Hutson of Davis, Kathy (Gary) Welch of Durand, Laura Bryant of Roscoe, Dawn Cooper of Loves Park, Linda Boan of Durand; step- daughter-in-law, Mo Hutson and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Barry Johnson; step-son Michael Hutson and step-son-in-law, Dan Bryant. Funeral mass, Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter Cathedral with Rev. Ken Wasilewski officiating. Visitation Monday, June 1, 2009 from 4-6 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Riverside chapel 3910 N. Rockton Ave. with a Christian Wake service at 6:00 p.m. Visitation to continue Tuesday at Church from 9-9:45 a.m. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials to: St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
