Shirley Faye Frederick

Shirley Faye Frederick, 73 Rockford Shirley Faye Frederick, 73 ofRockford went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 21, 2009.  She was born on November 1, 1935 inEwing, Virginia.  She married Gerald Dean Frederick on April 20, 1957 inRockford.  Faye was a longtime member of Silver Hill Pentecostal Church , where in early years she enjoyed teaching childrens church and childrens choir, taught many Sunday school classes, and was youth director and sanctuary choir director. Survivors;  Husband,  Gerald Dean of 51 years;  Daughter;  Cindy (Bruce) Nielsen of Peoria,  Dave (Theresa) Frederick of Rockford,  Mike (Mary) of Carbondale,  and Rodney (Lisa) Frederick of Roscoe;  Grandchildren;  Bruce and Jon Nielsen,  Natalie (Charlie) Goth,  Justin (Tara) Frederick, Nate and Rebecca Frederick;  She was Nana to Alayna and Connor Frederick and Great-Grandma to Emma Frederick.  In addition to her husband,  children,  grandchildren, and great-grandchildren,  Faye will be missed by a host of friends and family,  including sisters; Margaret Aldridge of Rockford,  Sylvia (Ray) Gibson of Rockford,  Betty Burdin of South Beloit,  and Brenda (Chuck) Shelby of Marion,  IN;  Brothers;  Vernon and Charlie Daniels of Kokomo, IN;  and Uncle Calvin Mink of Middletown,  OH.  Predeceased by her mother, Edith Daniels and brother, Eugene Mink.  Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 26, 2009, at 10 a.m. at Silver
