Sherry K. Blascoe

Rockford- Sherry K. Blascoe of Rockford and formerly of Rockton, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 7, 2011. Born November 8, 1963 in Rockford the daughter of Fred and Judy (Lee) Mehren. Graduate of East High School and received her Certified Nursing Assistance certificate. She had worked for SwedishAmerican Hospital transcribing medical documents and until most recently worked in medical billing, specializing in Medicare claims. Her pride and joy in life was her son Joshua, whom she cherished and adored. She was his biggest fan and supporter and loved him very much. Sherry was a wonderful daughter, mother and friend and will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her son, Joshua Blascoe; step daughter, Rachel Blascoe; parents, Fred and Judy Mehren; brother, Steven (Michele) Mehren; nephews, Sean and Ryan Mehren all of Rockford; aunts/uncles, Tom (Nancy) Ziegenfuss and Jeannette Sherwin all of Platteville, WI and numerous special friends and cousins. She was preceded in death by her Paternal and Maternal grandparents and several aunts and uncles. Memorial service Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 11:00 am at Court Street United Methodist Church, in the chapel, 215 N. Court St. with Pastor Keith Kelsey-Powell officiating. Visitation will be held at church from 10 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family for a fund to be established in her son's name. Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel is assisting the family.
