Sherie S. Kidd

Sherie S. Kidd, 65, of Winnebago, Illinois passed away on April 27, 2021 at OSF St. Anthony Hospital. She was born on January 11, 1956 in Waco, Texas to Ernest and Eleanor (Farr) Kidd. Sherie spent most of her life in Waco, Texas. She graduated from University High School and then went on to McLennan Community College where she earned her Associates degree. Sherie taught Physical Education at Savoy Elementary School and Hubbard High School, where she was also a librarian. She moved to Illinois in 2012 and worked as a librarian for the Winnebago Public Library. Sherie had a strong faith in God and lived for her children and grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family. She was a great friend to many and a loving mother and grandmother. Sherie will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Sherie is survived by her daughter, Daneille (Nathan) Nantz, her son, Nicholas Newson, her grandson, Ayden Scott; step grandchildren, Jayden Nantz and Kazdyn Nantz, her brother, Jerry (Donna) Kidd, her sister, Lynette Masters; and her nieces and nephews, Matt, Katie, Sherie Lynn, Chris, Lacey, and Josh. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Eleanor.

Cremations rights will be accorded. Family services will take place at the Rosemound Cemetery in Waco, Texas on Saturday May 8, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. Flowers may be sent for the service to Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. 6101 Bosque Blvd., Waco, TX 76710.
