Sheila J. Lightcap

Sheila J. Lightcap. 47, of Rockford, passed away on Saturday September 1, 2007, at Rush Presbyterian Hospital in Chicago after a brief illness. Born April 22, 1960, the daughter of Robert and Wanda Strowiak Blackwell. Sheila was a graduate of Jefferson High School. Married Matthew Lightcap in Rockford on May 12, 1990. Sheila worked at the Board of Realtors for many years before recently working for Eddie Zs. She loved shoes, cooking and entertaining friends and family. Survivors include her husband; Matthew, brother; Roger Blackwell, niece; Margaux Blackwell, mother-in-law; Shirley Lightcap, brotherin-law & sister-in-law; Jeff (Jane) Lightcap, sister-in-law; Martha (Tom Lane) Lightcap, and many friends. We will miss her more than words can say. Predeceased by her parents and brother Tom. Memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday September 6, 2007, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. with Reverend Dr. Denver Bitner of Zion Lutheran Church officiating. Private burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family for a memorial fund to be established at a later date.
