Sheila Jane Holmes-Fletcher

Sheila Jane Holmes-Fletcher, age 59, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday April 27, 2024. She was born June 16th, 1965 in Rockford, Illinois to Robert and Shirley Holmes.

Sheila was naturally curious and always had a strong desire to explore. In her early childhood, she was involved in Girl Scouts, loved riding mini bikes with her sisters and enjoyed fishing with family. Sheila was a feisty lady full of opinions, ready to express them at any given moment. Always full of laughter and ready for new experiences. She often overshared with no worries of judgment, finding humor in the reactions of others. She loved her friends and family deeply and it did not go unnoticed. Sheila lived a life sprinkled with adventure surrounded by those that adored her.

Sheila is survived by her children, Richard (Becca) Lamb, Ryan (Samantha) Lamb, Travis Lamb, and Babe' Briann (Cid) Herlein; her grandchildren; Dylan Lamb, Danika Lamb, Madison Lamb, Audrey Lamb, Maddox Herlein, Ryann Herlein, Aria Lamb, and Adalynne Lamb; her mother, Shirley Holmes; sisters Sherry (Tim) Page, and Robin (Ken) Long; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Sheila was preceded in death by her father Robert “Bob” Holmes, husband Charles Fletcher and nephew Jamie Stevens.

A visitation will take place on Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service, 12:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 3910 N.
