Shawn Charter

Shawn Charter, 24, a lifelong resident of Rockford, died unexpectedly on Sunday, November 8, 2015 in his home. Born May 30, 1991 the son of Michael and Janet (Gebhart) Charter. Graduated from East High School and loved the inner workings of technology. Shawn was a true computer wizard who could fix any technical issue you may have had. He loved to fish with his dad and play pool with friends. Shawn had a heart of gold and loved life, he will be deeply missed by all.
Survivors include his father, Michael and Janet Cote-Charter; mother, Janet Charter (Paul Zuroske) ; siblings, Melissa (Luke) Pulliam, Amanda (Jerry) Reese, Joseph (Kelsie) Charter, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Riverside chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave., with Rev. Dean Parker officiating.
