Sharon Jo Rupert

Sharon J. (Finnan) Rupert, 69, South Beloit, a loving mother, grandmother and sister. passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025. She was born in Rockford on May 25, 1955, the daughter of Clifford E. and Marlene (Mellendorf) Finnan.

Growing up, she was in the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps. She was a member of Journey Church Ministries where she enjoyed spending a lot of her time. She loved to read, scrapbook, write poems and was a certified coach for bowling. Most of all, she loved her family, they meant the world to her.

Sharon is survived by her son, Raymond (Faith) Finnan; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Finnan, Paige, and Maddie Poole; her step grandson, Jacob (Darian) Jones; and her step great grandson, Carter Jones; her siblings, Patty (Rich) Perkins, Sandy (Joey) LaPastora, Sandra Goral, Linda Goral, Stan (Brian) Goral, and Kathy Goral. She is preceded by her parents, Marlene and Clifford; her stepfather, George Goral; and her brother, Ray “Kip” Finnan.

A Memorial visitation will be held on May 24, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. at Journey Church Ministries, 7825 Forest Hills Road, Loves Park IL, 61111.
