Sharon Marie Halfman

Sharon Marie Halfman, 81, passed away in her home with her family on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, in Rockford, Illinois. Born in Chicago, Illinois on October 1, 1943, daughter to Stanley and Margaret (Klein) Carlson. In 1981 Sharon married Kevan Halfman in Rockford, Illinois. She worked for All Rental which later became G & K rental for over 30 years, retiring in 2008. Sharon was a very artistic person and enjoyed creativity. She got her beautician’s license and had a few clients over the years and liked doing hair for her friends and family. She also enjoyed painting scenic images on canvas or tole with acrylic or oils.

She will be missed by those who loved her most, her husband of 43 years, Kevan Halfman; her children David Carlson and Diane (Charlie) Gloyd; her grandchildren Beth (Paul) Adcock, Jeremy Carlson, Harry Carlson, D.J. Carlson, Caitlyn Carlson, Adam (Jacky) Nelson, Nicole (Adam) Schmid, and Cody (Lexi Allen) Swinney; 13 great grandchildren; beloved bird Pepper and dogs Tanner and Ginger. She is predeceased by her brother Dennis Carlson; her parents Stanley and Margaret and many beloved family dogs over the years.

A visitation will take place on Monday, November 4, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service, 11:00 a.m. at Fitgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1960 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, Illinois 61108. Burial to follow at Willwood Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, a place very dear to Sharon’s heart.
