Selma Lange Selma Lange, 82, of Rockford, went to be with the Lord on January 7, 2010 while residing at Asta Care Center. Selma was born March 7, 1927 in Nowogradwolynsk, Russia the daughter of Samuel and Luise (Renz) Luther. Selma married Willy Otto Lange in Rockford on October 31, 1954. Selma devoted herself to her household and her family and had worked at J.L. Clark Company from 1952 1956 and Advance Machine & Engineering. Selma and Willy both became U.S. Citizens August 6, 1993, an accomplishment of which they were both very proud. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, the German Society of Rockford, and had been attending Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. Selma loved bowling, gardening, and baking, and was known for her bread. Selma is survived by her children, Walter (Jody) Lange, Elizabeth (Gary) Kinroth, Ingrid (Tim) West, and Erich (Ginger) Lange; grandchildren, Amber (Vernon) Rutlin, Timmy and Megan Streeter, Bret and Jessica Lange, Holli and Brooke Kinroth, and Emily and Samuel Lange; great-grandchildren, Zachery and Madison Rutlin; brother, Erwin (Elfreida) Luther; sisters-in-law, Edith Stone and Irmgard Larson, and brothers-in-law, Erwin,xc Kurt and Johan Lange. Selma was predeceased by her parents, husband Willy Otto (August 24, 1999), 2 brothers, and 2 sisters. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 11, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. with Pastor Kenneth Krause of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 150 N.
