Sean P. Gallagher

Sean P. Gallagher, 37, of Rockford, died Saturday, January 12, 2019. Born January 5, 1982 in Rockford; son of James P. and Sally M. (Ruiz) Gallagher.
A loving son, brother, father and loyal friend, Sean graduated from Auburn High School, class of 2000 and Rockford College with a degree in History. He was a member of St. Bernadette Church. Sean was also a member of the Park Lanes Bowling, Forest Hills and Sportscore Softball Leagues.
An avid Notre Dame, Chicago Bears and Cubs fan; he enjoyed cooking and anything sports. He especially enjoyed spending quality time with his two children and family.
Survivors include his mother, Sally Gallagher; children, James P. and Isabellah Gallagher; siblings, Steve (Sue), Jeff (Tina), Julia, Paul (Tracy) Gallagher and Ellen (David) Gill; niece and nephews, Cody, Dalton and Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Friday, January 18, 2019 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2400 Bell Avenue, Rockford. Visitation 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday, January 17, 2019, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel. Visitation will continue 9 a.m. Friday until time of service at the church.
