Scott L. Thompson, of Rockford passed away April 19, 2007 in his home. Scott was born February 12, 1935 in Hanston, Kansas and raised in Minneapolis, Kansas before residing in Rockford for over 40 years. Scott married Jean OLeary Doyle on July 21, 1973. Scott attended Kansas State University and was first employed by Sunstrand in Rockford before working as a Real Estate Broker for more than 30 years. Scott spent most of his real estate career with Remax Property Source of Rockford. Scott also served in the United States Army for 2 years. Survivors include his wife Jean Thompson, Daughter Dekra (Jim) Davis of Phoenix, AZ. Stepsons Denis Doyle and Sean (Jody) Doyle. Stepdaughters Lisa Doyle, Katy (Win) Kaczmarek and Sheila (Ed) Jaszemkas. Granddaughters Jori and Heather Davis and 9 step-grandchildren. Brother Ray Thompson of Austin, TX and sister Margaret Sekel for Houston, TX and many nieces and nephews. Scott was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
