Sandra L. Bennett

Sandra L. Bennett, 61, of Fort Myers and formerly of Rockford, IL went to be with the Lord on Father’s Day, "Her Daddy’s Day" Sunday, June 17, 2018. Surrounded by her loving family after an unexpected illness.
She was born April 12, 1957 in Rockford to Donald and Berniece Lameyer. She moved to sunny Florida in 2014 to live her dream of beaches and sunshine. She worked for Audi of Fort Myers as an Executive Administrator.
Sandra is survived by her mother, Berniece Lameyer; children: Justin (Nicole) Bennett, Michael (Erik) Bennett and Jessica (Fiance AJ) Bennett; the Love of her Life, Steve Leita; Siblings: Chris (Jim) Connors and Collin (Bridget Richards) Lameyer; Granddaughter Ava. Also by many special Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and friends, formerly married to Jeff Bennett. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald, her Grandparents and many Aunts and Uncles.
Funeral mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the Cathedral of St. Peter.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, June 29 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, and will continue on Saturday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to your favorite animal rescue organization.
