Sandra J. Snodgrass

Sandra J. Snodgrass, 64, Machesney Park, died at 5:59 a.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2008 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center after a valiantly fought battle with lung cancer. Born August 21, 1943 in Camp McCall, NC, daughter of Donald F. Harsh and Frances Riley Hall. Graduated from Morris High School in 1961. Married Richard R. Snodgrass in Morris on November 12, 1965. Rockford area resident since 1982. Sandy loved to read, spend time on the computer and she always enjoyed her time at the familys lake home. A special enjoyment was traveling with her husband. She was a woman who fought for her convictions and followed her beliefs. Sandy was a nurturing caregiver to many others and had a special, loving relationship with her daughter. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Brian Pelc, Machesney Park. Predeceased by her husband on July 7, 2004, her mother, step-father and grandparents. No services will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society for Lung Cancer Research. Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S.
