Sandra A. Saladino

Sandra A. Saladino, 76, of Rockford, passed away Friday, September 30, 2016. She was born on July 23, 1940 in Rockford, the daughter of Michael and Theresa Valenti. She married Joseph Saladino on October 19, 1963 at St. Anthony of Padua Church. Sandra was a proud graduate of Bishop Muldoon High School and enjoyed the monthly luncheons with her friends. She retired after 35 years of work at Barber Coleman. Sandra loved cooking and family occasions, and always brightened the holidays with her smile and laughter.

She is survived by a large, loving family; the Menke’s, the Russo’s, the Segneri’s, the Canale’s, and the Miceli’s; and her best friend of 65 years, Jessica Ruvolo. Predeceased by her husband, Joseph, and her parents.

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church. A visitation will be held at 9:00 until time of service. Burial Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Sandra was a lifelong member of St. Anthony of Padua. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the church appreciated.
