Samuel J. “Sam” Fiduccia, 89
Rockford- Samuel J. “Sam” Fiduccia, 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Presence Cor Mariae Center. Born February 19, 1926, in Rockford, the son of Pasquale and Catharine (Piazza) Fiduccia. Married Frances J. “Fran” Goral in Rockford on August 23, 1947, she predeceased him on Sunday, February 20, 2011. Sam was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He enjoyed traveling and had a passion for cooking. Sam owned his own Gulf service station, and continued working as a service manager for several dealerships including Frontier Ford and Lou Bachrodts.
Survivors include son, Dave (Monika) Fiduccia; grandchildren Ian (Alisha) Fiduccia and Melissa Fiduccia; great granddaughter Elizebet. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, the Goral family, and special nieces Linda and Carolyn, and nephew Joey (Barbi) Salomone, and special friends Jim Olson and Faith Varguson. He is predeceased by wife, parents, four brothers and five sisters.
Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 10, in Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Road, Rockford. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, November 9th at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd and from 9:15 to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
