Samuel L. Di Raimondo

Samuel L. Di Raimondo, 90, passed away surrounded by his family in his home on March 3, 2022. He was born in Rockford, Illinois on July 25, 1931 son to Charles and Sunda (Lombardo) Di Raimondo. He will be survived by those who loved him most, his wife of 63 years, Patricia (Connolly) Di Raimondo; his children Mary (Rodger Otten) Archibald, John (Vicki) Di Raimondo, Catherine (Timothy) Lindgren, Loretta Pitts, and Michele (Jeremy) Murphy; his beloved 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, as well as his brother, Dr. Joseph (Eleanor) Di Raimondo. He is predeceased by his parents and his siblings Josephine Di Raimondo, Dr. Vincent (Joan) Di Raimondo, Lucy (Frank) Cassioppi, and Loretta Di Raimondo.
Services will be at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Road, Rockford, Illinois 61107. A visitation will take place Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. with Rosary at 6:30 p.m.. Visitation will continue on Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.. Livestream of the funeral Mass will begin 10 minutes prior at holyfamilyrockford.org (click "Watch Mass"). Burial to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Corpus Christi Monastery of the Poor Clares, 2111 S. Main Street, Rockford, Illinois 61102.
