Samuel Sam H. Stoltz, 47, of Rockford, passed away at 5:06 a.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2008 in his home surrounded by family. Born on November 10, 1961 in Rockford to Walter and Bertice (Lowman) Stoltz. Married Sue M. Gottman on September 27, 1982. Sam worked as a supervisor for J amp; M Plating for 16 years. Sams first priority in life was his family. He was also an avid Packers fan, and enjoyed his Chevy Nova. Survivors include his wife, Sue; children, Samantha (Roy Harne) Stoltz of Rockford, Sarah (Steve) Stupec of Rockton, Steven (Whitney Montana) Stoltz of Rockford and Sabrina Stoltz of Rockford; grandchildren Derek Turvold and Emily Harne. Father-in-law Bill (Gloria) Gottman of Rockford, brothers and sisters; Gary (Sharon) Stoltz, of Davis, Ron (Sandy) Stoltz of Rockford, Martin Stoltz of Forreston, Rose (Charles) Large of Cosby, TN, Karen Stoltz of Texas and Richard (Sherri) McCoy of Rockford; brothers and sisters-in-law, Marsha (Kelly) Wirth of Stillman Valley, Bill (Kristi) Gottman of Winnebago, Joe (Mary) Gottman of Winnebago, Elisabeth (Dean) Heusinkveld of Caledonia, Becky (Darin) Williams of Rockford, Hannah (Rick) Kardell of Machesney Park and Debbie (Steve) Roberson of Roscoe; many nieces, nephews, numerous great friends and his dog, Nugget. Predeceased by his parents, mother-in-law, Barbara Gottman and grandchildren, Steven and Aidan Stupec. Funeral service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL with Shelby Hancock officiating. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation to be held from 5-8pm Friday, December 19 at the funeral home and from 10-11am Saturday before the service. Memorials may be made to the family.
