Salvator J. Mandala

Loves Park- Salvator Sam J. Mandala, 78 passed away Sat. July 3, 2010 at St. Anthony Medical Center with his family at his side. Born June 4, 1932 in Rockford the son of Vito and Anne (Giglio) Mandala. Sam served our country in the Air Force from 1951 1953. He retired from the Illinois Department of Transportation after 22 years of service. He attended St. Bridget Church and loved life and lived it to its fullest.nbsp; On June 9, 1956 he married the love of his life, Nina (Juliano) Mandala, who survives him. Additional survivors include his devoted children, Vito (Nanci), John (Lorri) and Jack (Christine loving grandchildren, Gina (Josh) Hester, Jonathan, Justin, Nikka and Anna Mandala; precious great granddaughter, Addison Hester and special family. He will be missed by all. Predeceased by parents, special son, Joey; brothers, Jack, Dominic and Tony. Special thank you to Dr. Hoskins and the medical staff at OSF nbsp;CCU and 2 nd and 4 th floors.

Funeral Mass, Wednesday July 7, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave. Loves Park. Visitation Wednesday in church from 8:30 until time of Mass.
