Sally J. Devine-Carlson

Sally J. Devine-Carlson, 82, passed away on January 5, 2022 in Rockford, Illinois. Born in Rockford, daughter to Leslie and Phyllis (Estes) Copas. Sally went on to graduate from West High School in 1956, she received a degree in nursing and worked in the Rockford community for 40 years as a nurse. In her free time she loved to visit her sister in Florida, and took pride in crocheting many keepsakes for her friends and family.

She will be survived by those who love her most, her children Jeanne (John) Devine-Almond, Patrick (Jeannie) Devine, and Eric (Bonnie) Carlson; beloved grandchildren Michele (Ryan), James (Krista), Sarah (Shawn), Sean, Jennika, and Leslie; her great grandchildren Hailey, Lylah, Shannon, and Sean Patrick Jr.; her siblings Carol Sutton, James (Sherry) Copas, Joan Gorman, and Rick (Nini) Copas; sisters in law Jean Copas and Donna Copas as well as brother in law Jerry Kruse. She is predeceased by her parents; her husband (Walter James Devine); her siblings Mary Kruse, Bill Copas and Mike Copas; brothers in law Charles Sutton and John Gorman.
