Ruth E. Beyer

Ruth E. Beyer, 87 of Rockford passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2009. Born October 30, 1921 in Chicago, the daughter of Oliver and Ethel (Gerhardt) Skauby. Ruth married William F. Beyer on July 27, 1973 in Rockford at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. He predeceased her on October 20, 2003. Ruth worked as an Avon saleswoman as the district manager for over 20 years. She was also a member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. Survivors include her sons Donald (Elaine) Hansen and Dale (Pam) Hansen. Grandchildren Erica (John) Womack, Donald Hansen Jr., Matthew Hansen, Jessica Hansen, Christine Harris, nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her parents, husband, daughter Debra Heath and sisters Martha Menting and Dorothy Menting. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 24, 2009 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. with the Rev. Richard Likeness of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday in the funeral home.
