Russell Swanson

Russell Swanson, 91, of South Beloit, IL, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2007 in Hayward, WI. Born September 2, 1915 in Chicago, IL; the son of Charles Emil amp; Catherine (Weinert) Swanson. He married Ruth Mikkelsen on May 24, 1941. Graduate of St. Thomas High School. Russell co-owned National Detroit Inc. in Rockford, IL. Survivors include his wife, Ruth; daughters, Sandra Swanson (Oliver Rhein) and Rita Swanson-Offutt; son, Gary (Bonnie) Swanson; grandchildren, Jason (Rebecca) Offutt and Kelly Offutt (Josh Hartman). Predeceased by his parents and sister, Elizabeth Hillebrand. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Beloit Hospice for their loving care they gave to Russell and the family. Services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, June 28, 2007 at Our Lady of Assumption Church, 2222 Shopiere Road, Beloit, WI. Visitation will be held from 10- 10:45am at the church on Thursday.
