Russell L. Lundberg 67 of Rockford passed peacefully at sunrise surrounded by all of his loving family. He was born June 16, 1946 in Rockford, the son of Lawrence and Maysele Lundberg. He lived all his life in Rockford. He married Cynthia Koch on June 16, 1973 at Redeemer Lutheran Church. He worked for Motorola; he then went and worked for Minarik Corp in South Beloit, retiring in 2012. As a friend of Bill W., this part of his life was very important to him, as well as all of the people that helped him through the years and the people he was able to help along the way. He was a member of Blackhawk Carving Club in Rockford. Russ had many dogs over the years and will be greatly missed by his current pals Cooper and Bailey
Survivors include his wife Cynthia. Daughter, Stacy (Brandon) Wallace. Son, Daniel (Laura Harvey) Lundberg. Grandson, Collin Wallace. Sister-in-law, Barb Lundberg. Numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents. Brothers, Lee and Billy Lundberg. We would like to thank the people at Rockford Memorial Hospital, UW Madison and VNA Hospice for the care and support during this difficult time.
Funeral Service at 11am Thursday March 20, 2014 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home 1860 S. Mulford Road with burial in Cedar Bluff Cemetery. Visitation from 5pm until 8pm Wednesday, March 19, in Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel. Visitation also from 10 – 10:45 Thursday in the Funeral Home.
