Russell Jury

Russell Jury, 90, of Rockford, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2017. He was born on July 13, 1926 in Belvidere, the son of Ira and Isabelle (Bahling) Jury. He proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII. He married Mary Hansen at St. James Catholic Church on February 1, 1980. Russell worked as a foreman for Rockford Blacktop for many years. He was a devoted volunteer for Northern Illinois Hospice. Russell was an avid Cubs, Bears and NASCAR fan.

He is survived by his children, Carol (Terry) Johnson, and James Jury; grandchildren, Nicholas Jury, Tandy Johnson, and Annie (Jamie) Stephens; greatgrandchildren, Saoirse, Oisin, and Ruadhan; special grandchildren, Bianca, and Kiana Montalvo; siblings, Ralph Jury, Roger Jury, Margie Jury, and Joanne Traiff; and special friends, Joe (Marie) Montalvo and Tom (Rose) Dean. Predeceased by his wife, daughter, Susan, parents and brothers, Richard and Ira.
