Ruben E. Vidal

Ruben E. Vidal, 52, of Rockford, passed away Saturday, April 16th, 2022 in his home. He was born on June 12th, 1969 in Chihuahua, Mexico, the son of Jose Vidal and Ilda (Esparza) Vidal. Ruben married his sweetheart Tracy Dittbenner in Rockford on March 5th, 1999. He was an assembly worker at Chrysler for over 10 years.

Ruben loved to go fishing with his wife, listen to music on one of the many speakers he owned, and dance with his grandson. He was a dedicated and hardworking man, he loved spending time with his family and was a proud and dedicated loving husband, father, and grandfather with a sense of humor, no matter the situation he could get anyone to laugh. Ruben was always willing to help a neighbor or friend in need, no matter what the project.

Ruben is survived by his wife Tracy, his children, Kristen (Mikey) Delgado, Ruben (Brandy Coole), Gabriel “Gabe” (Colby Palmer), Julian Vidal, grandson Elijah Delgado; Siblings Silvia Duran, Josefina (Daniel) Hernández, Carmen (Benjamin) Sigala, Rosa (Ruben) Mendoza, Margarita Vidal, Gustavo (Rosa Ureño) Vidal, Isabel Vidal and Jesús (Nilda) Vidal; and fur baby Izzy (Favorite Daughter). He is predeceased by his parents Jose and Ilda as well as his brother Victor Vidal. The Family would like to give a special thanks to friends, family and neighbors.

A funeral Service will be held on Saturday April 23rd, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, Illinois, 61108. A visitation will be held prior, open to anyone at 9:00 AM up until the service time. Cremation rights have been accorded.
