Rosie Nguyen

Rosie Nguyen, 87 of Rockford IL, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 20, 1937, Rosie left her home country of Vietnam in 1975 to build a better life for her children in the United States. Despite facing many challenges, she overcame adversity with determination and a strong faith in God.

A devoted homemaker, Rosie was also an avid cook who found joy in sharing her love of food with friends and family. Her kindness, resilience, and generosity will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her.

She is survived by her children: Hoa Nguyen, Mary Nguyen, and Jack (Lisa) Arena. Her grandchildren: Linda Nguyen, JoAnn (Khamsaeng) Vongprasearth, Leann (Thong) Louangxay, and Ciara Arena. Her great grandchildren: Ava, Landen and Lilly.

Pre-deceased by her son-in-law: Ngoc Nguyen.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Mass, 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Rd, Rockford, IL 61107.
