Rosemary J. Daisy Porter, 87 a life long resident of the Rockford area, died Monday, April 9, 2007. Born, February 26, 1920 in Rockford, daughter of Floyd and Nan (Cleary) Hollister. Graduated in 1938 from Bishop Muldoon High School. Married her loving husband Robert B. Porter on October 12, 1940. Rosemary worked at Amcore Bank as a loan processor retiring in 1996 after 20 years of service. Survivors include her children, Susan (Karl) Park of Elgin and Timothy Porter of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Kendall Park of Elgin, Matthew (Kristin) Porter of S. Elgin and Julie (Daniel) Lattimer of Cypress, TX; great grandchildren, Blake, Jack, Grayson and Dylan; sister, Bernice B Ryan of Rockford; special nephew Neal Ryan, nephew Jack (Terry) Ryan, Alan (Pam) Ryan and grand nieces and nephews; special friend Rolaine Park. Preceded in death by her parents and spouse.
Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Monday, April 16, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave., Loves Park, IL with Rev. Brian Olsen officiating. Interment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Monday in the church. In lieu of flowers please make memorials to: Lou Gehrigs Disease (ALS) Research.
