Rosemary J. (Carter) Burt

Rosemary “Rose” J. (Carter) Burt, 71, of Rockford, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2020.

Rose was born in Mendota, IL on October 22, 1948, daughter of Norman and Delores (Becket) Carter. She was a lifelong member of Salem Lutheran Church. Rose was proudly employed with Rockford Products for 43 years. In her younger years, she was very involved with horses and loved racecars. Rose also enjoyed traveling and riding motorcycles. She was always there to help anyone. Rose will be dearly missed.

Those left to honor her memory include her “Partner in Crime”, Barb Rasmussen; brother, Dan (Sandi) Carter of North Carolina; sister, Crys (Howie) Johnson of Oregon; nephew, Richie (Bonnie) Gartman of Milwaukee; great-nephew, Richie Jr.; special best friend, Wanda Johnson and many friends that knew and loved her. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, William T. Burt and brother, Dick Carter.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. located at Salem Lutheran Church, 1629 S. 6th St. Rockford, IL 61104 with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Private burial will conclude in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
