Loved by all who knew her

nbsp;Rosemary Giammarese, 89,nbsp;went to her heavenly home Tues. April 20. 2010.nbsp;nbsp;Born March 25, 1921 in Aragona, Sicily.nbsp;nbsp;Daughter of Salvatore and Beatrice (Seminerio) Buscemi.nbsp; Immigrated to the United States atnbsp;7 1/2 years old.nbsp;Settlingnbsp;in Brooklyn.nbsp; Was an intregal part of her familys assilimation to the American culture and their move to Chicago.nbsp; She gavenbsp;herselfnbsp;lovingly to her many nieces and nephews whom she adored.nbsp;nbsp; Rose worked at Standard Electric in Chicago,nbsp;for 25 years as a supervisor.nbsp;She, then owned and operatednbsp;Tiny Tots Nursery School in Chicagonbsp;in the 1950s.nbsp;nbsp;She married her loving husband, Santo F. Giammarese in Chicago in 1957.nbsp; Afternbsp;his death on July 22, 1964, Rosemary moved her family to Rockford.nbsp;nbsp;To support her family, shenbsp;worked as a hostess/cashier at Villa Capri and Capri Restaurants for 10 years.nbsp;She enjoyed sharing in her sons dream, Frankys on Broadway, and could be found there numerous nights over 20 years helping out and visitingnbsp;with customers.nbsp;nbsp;She loved to garden, sing, cook, read hernbsp;Biblenbsp;and spend time with family and friends. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at River Bluff Nursing Home, Dove Wing and to Northern Illinois Hospice and Grief Center. Survivors include her children, Rosalie (Daniel) Sawyer, Beatrice Ricotta and Frank Giammarese; grandchildren, Christinanbsp;and Hannah Sawyer, Joe, Stephanie and Madalena Ricotta; sisters, Sue (Ben) Patrasso and Terry (George)nbsp;Zammuto; many nieces, nephews, Godchildren, very special cousinsnbsp;andnbsp;friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Albert and Frank Buscemi Sr. and numerous brother and sister-in-laws.nbsp;nbsp;

nbsp;Funeral service Tuesday, April 27 at 10:00 a.m. at First Church of the Nazarene, 4503 Charles St. Rockford. Visitation Monday, April 26 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford chapel 1860 S. Mulford Rd. from 4:00 8:00 p.m. and will continue on Tuesday at church from 9 until time of service. Interment will be held at 2:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove, IL.
