Rosemary F. Bianchi, 96, of Rockford, passed away Monday, January 17, 2022 at Sunrise Assisted Living of Barrington. She was born January 10, 1926, the daughter of Domenic and Anna (Palmieri) DiTomassi. Rosemary graduated from Rockford West High School in 1943 and was married to Frank D. Bianchi on May 8, 1948. She was employed at J.I. Case Co. prior to becoming a homemaker. Rosemary was a devout, lifelong member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Rosemary enjoyed yard work, shopping, going out to the movies and spending time with family. She had a special love for her grandchildren and great-grandchild.
Rosemary is survived by her son, Thomas (Laura) Bianchi; grandchildren, Kimberly (Elliott) Kurtz, Christina (Allen) Wolfe and Kelly (Anthony) Fiorino; great-granddaughter Lacey Kurtz; numerous nieces and nephews, including Robert (MaryAnn) Cicero and John (Debbie) Cicero. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Frank, (August 14, 1991), sister, Grace Cicero and brother-in-law, Joseph Cicero.
Public visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11 a.m. Monday, January 24, 2022 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1010 Ferguson Street, Rockford. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association Illinois Chapter. Please share memories and condolences online www.fitzgeraldfh.com.
