Rosemary E. Sandona

Rosemary E. Sandona, 77, of Rockford, passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021.

Rosemary was born in Chicago, IL on September 5, 1943, daughter of Edward and Marie (Malone) Di Vito. She graduated from East High School of Rockford, Class of 1961. Rosemary then attended Concordia College in Beloit, WI where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree. She was employed with Rockford Health as a medical manager for over 20 years. Rosemary married Reno T. Sandona at St. James Catholic Church in Rockford on August 28, 1971. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Rosemary enjoyed tending to her flower garden and decorating her home and yard for Christmas time. She had a special love for her 2 dogs, Piper and Louie. Rosemary will be dearly missed.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Reno T. Sandona; son, Peter Sandona and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and great-nieces and nephews. Rosemary is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Trudy Gates, Debbie (Roy) Chostner and brother-in-law, Michael (Pam Marino) Sandona. She is predeceased by her parents; brother, Ed Di Vito; parents-in-law, Reno P. (Gene) Sandona and brother-in-law, Ralph Gates.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until time of service. Private entombment service will conclude in Calvary Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.
