Rosemary E. Leber, 91, Rockford, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Presence St. Anne Center. She was born July 2, 1926, in Rock Falls, the daughter of Alvie and Bernadine (McDonnell) Vincent. After her father Alvie passed away, Bernadine married Leonard Ahmer. Rosemary was a graduate of Muldoon Catholic High School. She married Glenn Leber in St. Edward Catholic Church on August 28, 1948. He passed away in Rockford on November 22, 2010. She is a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Glenn’s work took him and Rosemary overseas to Colombia, Iran, and Libya for 23 years enjoying the opportunity to travel and see the world. They returned to Rockford after Glenn’s retirement in 1980.
Survived by her nieces and nephews, Tom (Sue) Vincent, Jane (Bill) Gorman, Rosemary (Pete) Campion, Kathy (Mike) Prosinski, Teresa Lemmons, Margaret (Pete) Turcato, Laurie Vincent, Steve, Jim, Tom, Mary Sue and Jeanne Waffle; her sister-in-law, Marjorie Vincent. Predeceased by her husband Glenn, her parents, her step father, Leonard Ahmer; her brother, Jim Vincent; her nephew, Michael Vincent; her sisters-in-law, Dolly Finnegan and Susan Leber.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, December 7, 2017, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Rd. Rockford, with Reverend Phillip Kaim officiating. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. until 10:15 A.M. on Thursday at the church. Arrangements by Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S.
