Rosemary Danaher

Rosemary Danaher, 96, Rockford, entered into eternal life on Sunday, April 16, 2017, in Presence St. Anne Center. She was born October 4, 1920, in Chicago, the daughter of Harry and Della (Higgins) Cassidy. She married John Danaher in Chicago on October 31, 1942. He entered into eternal life on August 1, 1997. Rosemary was an active member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading, cooking for her family, and discussing politics and religion. Above all, Rosemary loved spending time with her family. Rosemary was a registered nurse, however, she never worked outside the home. In addition to raising her children she was very active in her community volunteering her time helping others in various ways. She was passionate about her catholic faith, and she reflected God's love and kindness to everyone. She had a profound positive impact on those who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.

Survived by her children, Dr. Thomas J. (Patricia) Danaher, John M. (Gina) Danaher, James P. (Mary) Danaher, William F. (Theresa) Danaher, Mark B. Danaher, Maureen T. Nelson, Sharon M. (Bob) Ernst, Sheila A. (Bill) Mautino, Eileen M Danaher, and Mary D. (Rob) Kunz; 30 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren, her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Charles and Mary Gertrude Howell and her sister-in-law, Mary Therese Cassidy. Predeceased by her husband, John and her brother, H. Patrick Cassidy.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, 61108. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2400 Bell Av, Rockford,IL. Private family burial in Wenona, IL. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Food for the Poor, 6401 Lyons Rd, Coconut Creek, FL, 33073 or a Mass offered for the repose of the soul of the faithful departed, Rosemary Danaher.
