Rosemary Bertolasi, 84, Rockford, died at 1:10 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 2010 in Provena St. Anne Center.nbsp; Born January 26, 1926 in Rockford, daughter of Ambrose and Mary Marelli Cherichetti.nbsp; Graduated from Muldoon High School in 1943.nbsp; Married Francis R. Bertolasi in St. Mary Catholic Church on June 26, 1948.nbsp; Long time member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Holy Family Womens Guild, Catholic Womens League and was a volunteer at the Adoration Chapel for several years.nbsp;nbsp; Also a member of the Verdi Club.nbsp; Rosemary was a loving, dedicated volunteer for Provena St. Anne Center for 22 years. She was a generous, intelligent woman who loved to travel and had a great appreciation for music, especially opera.
Survivors include her children, Paul (Becky) Bertolasi, Winnebago, Thomas (Bambi) Bertolasi, Byron, Patricia (Tom) Eckrich, Indianapolis, Pamela Donnelli, Rockford and Mari (Louis) Ramirez, Arlington Heights; grandchildren, Carrie (Ander) Smith, Kim (Chad) May, Falina Bertolasi, Jackie Eckrich, Maddie Eckrich, Greg Donnelli, Silvia Ramirez and Sofia Ramirez;nbsp; Also survived by great-grandchildren, Ian and Emma Smith, Payton and Owen May and Alex Bertolasi; sister, Joan McSweeney, Rockford and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.nbsp; Predeceased by her husband on December 29, 1998, her parents, and sisters, Lucille Olivieri and Helen Fialkowski.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2010 in Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Randy J. Fronek officiating.nbsp; Entombment in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.nbsp; Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the church on Tuesday.nbsp; In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Provena St. Anne Pastoral Care Center or Poor Clares Corpus Christi Monastery.nbsp; Arrangements were completed by Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S.
