Rosemarie "Rose" A. Van Horn, 68
Rockford- Rosemarie "Rose" A. Van Horn, 68, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2014 in Rockford Memorial Hospital after a 16 year battle with renal disease. Born November 1, 1945, in Rockford, the daughter of Emanuel & Rosa (Colletti) Saladino. Graduate of West High School, class of 1964. Rose married Richard Van Horn in Rockford, on April 20, 1974. During her life she worked for the State of Illinois and the Rockford School District, but mostly she stayed home to raise her children. Rose attended St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Rose enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.
Survivors include husband Richard; children Joseph (Kerri Price), Monica (Stuart) Garwick, and Steven Van Horn; grandchildren Maxwell and Leo Garwick; sisters Connie (Sam) Ricotta and Jesse Cicero; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by parents, in-laws and brother Sam Saladino.

Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday, October 9, 2014 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1010 Ferguson St., Rockford, IL 61102. Visitation from 9 a.m. until time of mass.
